Fighter Raises Concerns Over Alleged Mismanagement During Ortho Renew Treatment

Santacruz Mumbai, October 11, 2024: A fighter has expressed deep concerns about the medical treatment he received after suffering a significant leg injury. He claims that the Ortho Renew Treatment, which was suggested as a non-surgical option, caused him to experience more problems and psychological discomfort.

Two months ago, the fighter suffered a serious injury to his left leg that included a torn posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), meniscus damage, and burst ligaments, he said in a comprehensive video statement posted on social media. During a training session, the accident happened five days prior to a highly anticipated battle. Dr. Satyajit Choudhury, who advised him to seek emergency care, suggested the Ortho Renew Treatment, which involves injecting bone marrow into the knee to promote recovery without requiring surgery. Touted for its efficacy and short recovery period, the treatment was promoted as a novel, less invasive approach.

The fighter, inspired by the assurances that he would resume fighting in six weeks, made the decision to forego surgery in favour of the Ortho Renew Treatment after lengthy discussions with Dr. Choudhury and the clinic personnel. Now, though, he says the treatment did not provide the expected outcomes. He is still dealing with issues, chronic discomfort, and a lack of progress in his health, even after the medical team established expectations.

In his emotional statement, the fighter expressed frustration over what he perceives as misleading promises from the clinic. “They assured me it was the best option, better than surgery, and that I would be back in the ring soon. But here I am, still struggling with the injury,” he lamented. He added that the ongoing pain and inability to train or compete have not only hindered his career but also taken a toll on his mental well-being.

The case has led to a more extensive conversation concerning the effectiveness of non-surgical treatments such as the Ortho Renew Treatment and the ethical issues surrounding them. Regarding treatment alternatives, hazards, and realistic outcomes, it emphasizes how vital it is for patients and medical personnel to communicate openly and honestly. Experts in medicine are now expressing their opinions on the necessity of more stringent laws and supervision to guarantee that patients receive correct information and care that is suited to their particular requirements.

The fighter is looking for answers and accountability, and this incident highlights the dangers of medical therapies that promise quick healing without surgery. Patients’ rights activists are urging greater openness in medical procedures to avoid future occurrences of the same kind.
